Hundreds of books and encyclopedias showcase the name "Sara Montiel". The results of a Google search on books and her name provides too many titles in many different languages.
Too much Sara for such a tiny space as this. We can say for sure all western movie encyclopedias include her in their index and many of the eastern ones too. Many written in very exotic languages for most of us. Sara has always been universal by nature. It is quite curious that some of the places this website receives most visitors from are the Arab countries. Go figure that one!
One of the first attempts to place her life on paper is the cover of the booklet  that serves as background for this page. Written in 1971 by Javier Alfaya in her own country, Spain. Earlier in 1968 a concise account of her life and career was published titled "The Other Face of Sara Montiel". However this book is impossible to find today. We have searched for the cover but came out empty.
What follows is a small list of titles that highlight Montiel. We have  chocen to leave out books written by her showbusiness peers that would of course mention her because of camaraderie and anecdotes they may have had in common. Such as all books written on Anthony Mann. Also San Fuller, Tab Hunter, Mario Lanza and Gary Cooper's biographies.
